Here in the field, the socio-political crisis has worsened.
One year following the assassination of the late president Jovenel Moise, the
assassins are still not behind bars where they belong. The social conditions of the
Haitian people have deteriorated. Violent gangsters assault the streets of Port-AuPrince. They are present in every corner and are in fact, running the show. The police
forces seem to be poorly prepared to face the challenge. As a matter of course, more
kidnappings and executions are being orchestrated in broad daylight. Many of our
employers and business people are beginning to move to the Dominican Republic,
where there is peace, law and order. The result for Haiti is more people are living
under the poverty level in indescribable misery…
