Special greetings in Christ Jesus, the Author and the Finisher of our faith. We are so grateful for faithful friends like you who stand with us in the work of the gospel during these perilous times. It was really reassuring to know we are not in this thing alone but you have our back, pleading for us day and night before God. God has certainly heard your plea. His name is Faithful and True. He will not abandon us even when all hell turns loose. He surely will keep His precious promise,
“When thou passes through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy savior: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.” (Isaiah 43:2-4 KJV)
We were so glad to be back in the field. We felt compel to be in the place we called to serve. As you know the general situation of the country has worsened. We first stopped in Cap Haitian where all seemed safe and somewhat stable. We visited with our friends Bill and Sandy in Savanne Carre. Sandy was doing even better than we expected after several weeks of chemotherapy. Her radiant countenance and joyful face are a great testimony of her unweaving Christian faith and character.
